Core Subject Description: The course introduces students to basic concepts, subjects, and methods of inquiry in the disciplines that comprise the Social Sciences. It then discusses influential
thinkers and ideas in these disciplines and relates these ideas to the Philippine setting and current global trends.
Culminating Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to interpret personal and social experiences through the study of the different approaches of the Social Sciences and identify the
strengths and weaknesses of the approaches and identifying the different disciplines of the Social Sciences.
