ENG 105: CONSTRUCTION OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS IN ENGLISH
REFLECTION

Teaching-learning process is a process where the teacher provides learning
to students so that those students would be efficient and knowledgeable in all
walks of life. It goes beyond the four-corners of the classroom, therefore changes
the person’s life as a whole. In our class today, I had the opportunity to listen to
my classmates as they presented their demonstrations.
As I listen to them, I encountered a lot of things like utilization of google
slides, usage of visual physical objects, and facilitating creative activities. It was
fun knowing that they share the same approaches with me like learning by doing
activities and 4As lesson plan. Although some ended too lengthy, I realized that
discussing too long would be too boring for students to learn. Having a concise
and simple discussion would be more effective than the lengthy one.
I learned based from what my classmates presented, that the teacher
should be responsible in maintaining the attention of the students so as to retain
what you have discussed to them. Varied approaches and creative activities
would really help to cater the diversity of learners.
