Why I want to be lawyer?
I grow up in a poor family back in the province of Cagayan but despite of all this I
manage to finish High School with some honors. Back then my parents have no capacity to send
me to college so I went here in Manila to work together with my sister at the age if 16 years old.
After working for two (2) years I decided to study and work at the same time. I am as
Internal Security in the Mall in San Juan then run to school at about 4:00 PM from Monday to
Saturday. Struggle is real, time management and working relation with colleagues are the
obstacle that you may encounter while doing study and working at the same time.
Finally I graduated from Bachelor of Science in Criminology, took the Board and luckily
passed. I applied for being a member of Police Force and after six years I yielded for more
knowledge as I saw and experience in our field of work knowledge of the law is a must.
Then my journey as a law student and another struggle begins though I know it will be
worth when I will be done with my journey and hopefully to pass the bar.That’s the reason I
want to be a Lawyer.
I am Judilyn U Ravilas and these are my reasons why I want to be a lawyer.
