Daugherty will partner with General Mill’s HR Solutions Team to design an Intake Process for
capacity / demand management and prioritization
General Mills is a leading American producer of packaged consumer foods, especially flour, breakfast
cereals, snacks, prepared mixes, and similar products. It is also one of the largest food service
manufacturers in the world. Headquarters are in Minneapolis, MN.
Daugherty was introduced to the Buyer by leveraging our professional network
Through Victor Barge’s professional relationship with an IT PMO leader within General Mills, over a period
of months, the team was able to meet with the General Mill’s IT PMO leadership team and showcase our
capabilities in the Delivery Leadership domain. Those meetings built credibility and led to an introduction
with the IT PMO’s HR Solutions team.
About the Daugherty Win
General Mill’s HR Solutions team has been on a transformation journey and a recent reorganization has led
to challenges in managing work intake and prioritization of requests from multiple new stakeholders.
While the team has well established agile practices and product-mindset in execution, there is a need for a
more effective, controlled approach for receiving, analyzing, and prioritizing work requests.
Daugherty will review the General Mill’s current state processes, tools, demand, and constraints in order to
design a future state work intake and prioritization model that categories work, documents processes,
clarifies roles and responsibilities, recommends tools and templates, and defines an implementation
roadmap.
This is a significant win that re-establishes Daugherty’s partnership with General Mills and positions us well
for future opportunities with the client.
