CHEMICALS REQUIRED
ARDROX 1820
METHOD OF USE
For soak cleaning or aircraft toilet tanks, to ensure that residual bacteria are destroyed Ardrox
1820 should be diluted with 30 parts of water. The toilet tank, after drain off, should be filled
to capacity with Ardrox 1820 and for optimum results left overnight. Finally, the tank should
be drained and rinsed with fresh water. The tank is now ready for re-charging with toilet
sanitizer.
For sanitizing and cleaning of passenger oxygen masks Ardrox 1820 is diluted with 30 parts
of warm water. The oxygen masks are cleaned by wiping with a cloth dampened with the
diluted Ardrox 1820. No final rinsing with water is required.
For general cleaning and for sanitizing galley equipment Ardrox 1820 is diluted with between
30 – 60 parts of warm water depending upon the degree of soiling. Surfaces do not normally
require to be rinsed after cleaning with Ardrox 1820.
EFFECTS ON MATERIALS:
Ardrox 1820 in both diluted and concentrated form conforms to the requirements of noncorrosivity to metals and compatibility with non-metallic materials of AMS 1452 with the
exception of the concentrate form on polycarbonates and polysulphone plastics. In this case it
meets the requirements of the specification at an applied stress of 2000 psi for 12 hours.
