c. Develop a positive attitude towards punctuation by recognizing its importance in
effective communication.

The teacher shows different punctuation marks symbol and let the students recognize it.

B. Lesson Proper
A. Activity
The teacher conducts an activity called “ Punctuation Relay Race” Divide the class
into 4 teams and set up two desks at the front of the classroom as relay stations. Provide each
team with a set of sentence cards with missing punctuation marks. The first student from each
team runs to the relay station, selects a sentence card, and adds the correct punctuation mark
before returning to their team. The next student repeats the process until all the sentence
cards have been correctly punctuated.

C. Abstraction
The teacher discuss the various types of punctuation marks.:
 Period (.) - Used to indicate the end of a sentence or an abbreviation.
Example: I went to the store.
 Question mark (?) - Used at the end of a sentence to indicate a direct question.
Example: Where are you going?

Exclamation mark (!) - Used to express strong emotions or to indicate an exclamatory
sentence.
Example: What a beautiful day!

Comma (,) - Used to separate items in a list, clauses in a sentence, or to indicate a
pause.
Example: I like apples, bananas, and oranges.

Semicolon (;) - Used to join two closely related independent clauses or to separate
items in a list when they contain commas.
Example: I have to study for the exam; however, I want to go to the party.
 Colon (:) - Used to introduce a list, explanation, or quotation.
Example: There are three colors I like: blue, green, and purple.
 Dash (--) - Used to indicate a pause, emphasize a point, or set off a phrase or clause.
Example: The sky turned a beautiful shade of orange -- a breathtaking sight.
 Quotation marks ("") - Used to enclose direct speech, dialogue, or a quote.
Example: She said, "I'll be there soon."
 Parentheses (()) - Used to enclose additional information or clarify a statement.
Example: The movie (which was released last week) received positive reviews.
 Ellipsis (...) - Used to indicate the omission of words or a pause in speech.
Example: I was thinking... maybe we should go out tonight.
 Apostrophe (') - Used to indicate possession or contraction.
Example: The dog's tail wagged happily. (possession)

IV. Evaluation
Teacher prepares a pieces of sentences inside the box and each group select one sentences
and after that they will given at least 1 minute to practice on how to read it using different punctuation
marks in the sentence.
V. Assignment
Search about parts of speech, write it on 1 whole yellow paper to be pass on Monday at exactly
7:30 late submission will not accepted.
