Learner’s Activity
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
Good morning everyone.
Let us all stand for our prayer.
(Play the video clip)
2. Greetings
Good morning class. I hope we’re
doing great today.
Before you sot down, pick all the trash
under you chair.
3. Checking Of Attendance
Let’s check your attendance first. Is
everyone present?
4. Drill
Visualizing circle!
I’ll show you pictures or real objects
and identify it whether it is a circle or
not.
Good morning, ma’am good morning classmates.
Yes ma’am.
Directions: Clap your hands twice if
the object is a circle and stamp your
feet thrice if it is not.
Do you understand the direction?
Yes ma’am.
5. Review
Its all about circle ma’am.
Before we start our lesson today, let’s
have a bit review about our previous
lesson.
What was our previous lesson yesterday
children?
Very good.
What do we called the simple closed
curve?
What is diameter again class?
Circle
In geometry, a diameter of a circle is any straight line
segment that passes through the center of the circle
and whose endpoints lie on the circle. It can also be
defined as the longest chord of the circle.
A diameter is a chord that connects two
points on the circle and passes through the
center of the circle. Every diameter is a
chord. The diameter is two times the
radius.
6. Motivation
Strategy: Game (puzzle)
Mechanics:
1. Divide the class into three groups.
2. Group leaders will pick or get the
envelope containing parts of puzzle.
3. Give them 1 minute to form the puzzle.
And the first group to complete
it wins the game.
4. Remind each pupil to be a good sport
when playing games.
7. Setting of Standards
What are the things that we should
remember when the teacher is talking?
(Show video clip on classroom standards)
1. Keep quiet.
1. Keep quiet.
2. Sit properly.
3. Raise your hand if you want to recite.
4. Listen carefully to the teacher.

B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
(Present a video about radius and
diameter)
Based on the video that we viewed, what
is diameter? What is radius?
Diameter is a chord that connects two points on the
circle.
Radius is the line segment from the center to any point
in the circle.
Very good, it is a chord that connects two
points on the circle and passes through the
center of the circle.
It also discusses the formula about how to
find the radius and diameter of a circle.
Yesterday, we learned about the diameter
of a circle. Today we’re going to learn
more about the radius and diameter of a
circle.
Read the story.
Martin walked through the center of his
circular lot which measures24 m. What is
the half of the line that he walked
through?
Comprehension Check-Up
 Who walked through the center?
 Where did he walked?
 What is the shape of the lot?
 What is the measurement of the lot?
 What is asked in the problem?
How did you come up with your answer?
C. Discussion
Today, since the given problem is finding
the half of the line that he walked through.
