WINS
SY: 2022-2023
The DepEd WinS Program is designed to achieve learning and health outcomes of Filipino students through
a comprehensive, sustainable, and scalable school-based WASH program pursuant to the State’s mandate to
defend the right of children to dignity, assistance, and protection from conditions that would hamper their
development. To achieve the goals of the said program Merloquet Elementary School will implement the
following:
1. The group hand washing and tooth brushing will be supervised daily by the classroom advisers.
2. Every Wednesday will be WINS-Day, the coordinator of the said program will monitor the group
handwashing and toothbrushing in all grade levels every Wednesday.
3. Every health corner in classrooms must have a WINS corner or any informational poster about
WINS.
4. To ensure the proper segregation of the waste every classroom must have properly labelled trash
bins for different types such as Biodegradable, Non-Biodegradable and Recyclable.
5. Teach students how composting works to convert their biodegradable and organic wastes into a
natural fertilizer that the school could be use in the school garden.
6. To avoid unpleasant and untidy promote the No littering policy in every classroom and outside of
the classroom.
7. All the toilets must have properly maintained supplies at all times of warm and cold water, soap,
and toilet tissues.
8. To ensure sanitary disposal units in all female cubicles (for girls aged nine and over), serviced on
a regular basis and to provide sanitary pads in female toilet.
9. To implement and maintain an effective toilet cleaning, supervision and inspection regime to
ensure proper standards of provision and cleanliness, throughout the school day.
10. Place visible signages about segregation of trash and signages on Wash Facilities.
