Since percent means “per 100”, to change a fraction to a percent, you need
to find an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 100. The percentage
will be the numerator! Here are three ways you can use:
●Equivalent fractions: Multiply the denominator by the whole number that will give
you 100 as the new denominator. Multiply the numerator by that same whole
number.
(You can not always use this method  )
Examples :
2 20 40

 40%
5 20 100
31 4 124

 124%
25 4 100
●Make a proportion with the fraction and 100 in the denominator of the second
ratio. (This way will always work!)
Examples:
5
x

8 100
12
x

7 100
8x = 500
8

7x = 1200

x = 171 %

x = 62.5%
● Multiply the fraction by 100. (This way will always work!)
Examples:
2 100 40
