1) WHAT MAKES TIBETAN TRADITION
UNIQUE?
IN MOST COUNTRIES, STICKING OUT YOUR TONGUE
WOULD BE CONSIDERED A BIT RUDE, BUT IN TIBET
IT’S A WAY OF GREETING AND A SIGN OF RESPECT.
IT HAS BEEN A TRADITION SINCE THE 9TH
CENTURY, THE TIME OF AN UNPOPULAR CRUEL
KING CALLED LANG DARMA, WHO WAS KNOWN FOR
HIS BLACK TONGUE. TIBETAN PEOPLE STICK OUT
THEIR TONGUES TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE NOT
LIKE HIM AND ARE NOT HIS REINCARNATION.
