Novruz Holiday 2023
Novruz holiday is celebrated on the day of the equinox
(March 20, 21 or 22), the beginning of the astronomical
summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Since ancient times,
a number of peoples have connected the arrival of spring
with the revival of nature, held celebrations on this
occasion, and celebrated it in a new way. they celebrated
as the beginning of the year. Starting from ancient times,
in Azerbaijan, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan
and many Eastern countries, the arrival of spring and the
new year have been celebrated with festivities. March 21
is the first day of the official calendar in Iran and
Afghanistan. On September 30, 2009, Novruz was
included in the list of intangible cultural heritage by
UNESCO, and on February 23, 2010, at the meeting of
the 64th session of the UN General Assembly, March 21
was declared the International Nowruz Day. it is a great
cultural event that contains an important part of its
material and spiritual values. For our modern times, this is
a national holiday. When we look at this holiday
throughout its historical development, we see that it is
connected to ancient cultural roots and spiritual sources.
As in the past, Novruz is celebrated as Spring holiday in
Azerbaijan, other Turkish states and many neighboring
countries. "Nowruz" literally means "new day". But
according to the semantics of the ceremony it expresses,
it is the end of the transition and the beginning of a new
order. Nowruz Bozgurd, Chagan, Ergenekon, Nowruz,
Sultan Nowruz, March Nine, Nowruz, etc. also said. The
concept of "Nowruz" is used in the languages of many
Turkic peoples with some pronunciation differences.
