HEALING ROSARY
FOR THE WORLD
SHORT INTRODUCTION
(The Rector or Parish Priest of the Church briefly welcomes the viewers to the church by giving a
short history or background and invites everyone to pray for healing and protection for our country
and the whole world.)
OPENING HYMN:
Immaculate Mother
We pray for our country
To you do we plead
The land of our birth
To ask God, our Father
We pray for all nations
For help in our need
That peace be on earth
Ave, Ave, Ave Maria
Ave, Ave, Ave Maria
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
THE APOSTLE’S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at
the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living
and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES
LECTOR:
First Glorious Mystery: The Resurrection
Luke 24:36-48
While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to
them, “Peace be with you.” But they were startled and terrified and thought
that they were seeing a ghost. Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet,
that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and
bones as you can see I have.” And as he said this, he showed them his hands
and his feet. While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, he
asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?”
They gave him a piece of baked fish; he took it and ate it in front of them. He
said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with
you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the
prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to
understand the scriptures. And he said to them, “Thus it is written that the
Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that
repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all
the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.
PRESIDER:
Intention: We offer this mystery for the sick, especially those afflicted by COVID-19.
May they be brought to health once again and be consoled by the care of our Lord
Jesus.
(Every after mystery)
THE FATIMA PRAYER
O My Jesus, forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of Hell
and lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those who are in
most need of Thy mercy.
LECTOR:
Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension
Acts 1:6-11
When they had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time
going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He answered them, “It is not for you
to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own
authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you,
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking
on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were
looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in
white garments stood beside them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you
standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from
you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into
heaven.”
PRESIDER:
Intention: We offer this mystery for those serving in the frontline, medical workers,
hospital staff, security forces, pharmacy staff, supermarket employees, the media, and
also the leaders and servants in our Church and in our government. May they be
strengthened and inspired by the Holy Spirit in their selfless act of service.
LECTOR:
Third Glorious Mystery: Descent of the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1-4
When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place
together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving
wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared
to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of
them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in
different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.
PRESIDER:
Intention: We offer this mystery for countries that are greatly affected by the
COVID-19 crisis, specially our country, the Philippines. May the Lord rescue us
from this disease and lead us to full recovery.
LECTOR:
Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption
Luke 1:46-49
And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit
rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness;
behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done
great things for me, and holy is his name.
PRESIDER:
Intention: We offer this mystery for our families, and loved ones. May the Lord Jesus
protect us from all disease, danger, and harm. May the Holy Spirit continue to
inspire us in this moment of crisis to open our hearts in charity and solidarity with
our brothers and sisters especially the poor.
LECTOR:
Fifth Glorious Mystery: The Coronation
Revelation 12:1
A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the
moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
PRESIDER:
Intention: We offer this mystery for souls of the faithful departed especially those
who have passed away because of this virus. May our loving Father welcome them to
the eternal home prepared for them. May Our Lady console their families who are
suffering from their loss at this moment.
SALVE REGINA
Salve, Regina,
mater misericordiae;
vita, dulcedo et spes nostra, salve.
Ad te clamamus exsules filii Hevae.
Ad te suspiramus gementes et flentes
in hac lacrimarum valle.
Eia ergo, advocata nostra,
illos tuos misericordes oculos ad nos converte.
Et Iesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui,
nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.
O clemens, o pia, o dulcis Virgo Maria.
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
O God, whose Only Begotten Son, by his life, Death, and Resurrection, has purchased for
us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that while meditating on these
mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they
contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
ORATIO IMPERATA

to ask your protection against the COVID 19
that has disturbed and even claimed lives.
We pray that you guide the people

to work for the good of all and to help those in need.

and to save us from our fears.
Grant all these through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son
who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
One God, forever and ever. Amen.

MESSAGE AND FINAL BLESSING
(The Bishop/Priest thanks everyone who joined the Healing Rosary
and wishes them God’s blessings and protection.)
CLOSING HYMN
SOME REMINDERS:
1. May we request that the praying of the Rosary be done in English so that people all over
the world who will watch can participate actively.
2. Ideally, we should only sing three hymns, one as opening, the Salve Regina, and a closing
hymn. The opening Immaculate Mother can be sung in your native language. The closing
hymn can be a locally known song in your place to our Lady. There is no need to sing every
after mystery.
3. The Healing Rosary should only be 30-40 minutes long. See to it that the rosary starts at
exactly 9:00pm. If you have a video presentation to show, please play them before 9:00pm
while on standby so the rosary can start on time.
4. We encourage you to do a test broadcast at least a day before the Healing Rosary to ensure
the video and audio feed are good.
5. On the day itself, make sure that you are already online on standby by 8:45pm, so as to
gather more viewers.
6. The host is required to crosspost only for the Manila Cathedral Facebook page as the
organizer, and TV Maria Facebook page as the official Catholic channel of the Archdiocese
of Manila. All other Facebook pages are encouraged to share or create a watch party of the
Healing Rosary. (Should the host be willing to crosspost to other Facebook pages, then it
will be upon their discretion, and request should be directly communicated to them.)
