Ethical Outlook
A way of perceiving things in an ethical consideration
Fillennials
Every generation considers itself to be the "Greatest
Generation." Every generation considers itself to be unique
and special. However, the truth is that despite the fact that our
planet has undergone numerous changes, human nature has
remained largely constant over the years.
Cultural Identity

1. MILLINNIALS AND FILLENNIALS

the liberals and are also more supportive of
progressive domestic social agenda than older
generation.
Pragmatic Idealism
To make a deep desire to make the world better
place, combined with an understanding that doing so requires
building new institutions while working inside and outside of
existing institution.
Millennial are also labelled as the "BOOMERANG
GENERATION" and "PETER PAN GENERATION"
Boomerang Generation

Seven basic traits ascribe from Millennials:
1. Special – They are the most educated generation on
record
2. Sheltered – since birth, they are known to be from
many forms of protection.
3. Confident – they are known to be less religious, less
serve the military yet as the most educated
generation
4. Team oriented (disputed traits) – they like to band
together to socialize in groups. In school, they prefer
working with groups rather than individuals.
5. Conventional – they take pride in their improving
behavior. Their taste to arts and music is less extreme
than the previous generations
6. Pressured – they wish to be ahead of many things,
successful and take advantage of opportunities but
avoiding taking risks.
7. Achieving – they are known to be of many
achievements as youngsters. These can be associated
with their being proactive in life.
The identity or belonging to a group
Also the part of person's conception and selfperception.
That relates to their nationality, ethnicity, religion,
social class, generation, locality, or any kind of social
group that has its own distinct culture.


A term applied in Western culture to young adults
graduating high school and college in the 21st
century.
Ages 25-34 years old.
Moved out of the family home then moved back
again.
Peter Pan Generation
Millennials that are not wanting to grow up because
they want to remain perpetual adolescent.
84% of generation Y members favored legalizing the
use of marijuana.
One-quarter of millennials say the marriage is old
fashioned and not up to date while 71% disagree.
56% of people ages 18-35 years old say that in some
situation, choosing to have an abortion "is the most
responsible decision that a woman can make"


Pro-choice - Advocating legalized abortion
Pro-life - Thinks that a woman do not have a right to
choose whether or not to give birth to a child they
have conceived and that abortion is wrong in most or
all circumstances
7% millenials identify either Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or
Transgender.
3. WORK ETHICS
The belief in the moral benefit and importance of
work and its inherent ability to strengthen character.




Proactive training programs must be the hallmark of a
strong ethical culture.
4. INDIVIDUALISM

Millennials are habitually painted as the entitled, selfsnapping generation. A class of self-absorbed 20spmethings.

Millennials’ individualism is qualified as the
self-focused time in life. They have fewer social
Boomers - Hardworking, idealistic, and committed to
harmony.

Generation X or Gen Xers - Entrepreneurial,

flexible, self-reliant, and comfortable with technology.

Millenials - Tech-savvy, appreciative of diversity,
and skilled in multitasking.

abusive behavior
company resource abuse
discrimination
stealing or theft
falsifying expense reports
goods/services fail to meet specifications
falsifying time sheets or hours worked
offering improper payments/bribes to public officials
rules and obligations, and more freedom to be selfdirected.
Have highly individualistic traits, such as being
independent and relying on oneself.
When it comes in their moral outlook, their generation
view morality as personal and subjective. In other
words, for them morality is a personal matter.
They are said to be more individualistic and
materialistically motivated.
5. CONFLICT WITH PARENTS
No. reason. One of the causes of the alleged is
different in mentality.

Differences between millennials and their parents (baby
boomers)
1. Millennials are progressive on social issues,
majority of millennials (68%) agree of the legalization
of same sex marriage and marijuana but more baby
boomers oppose this kind of issue.
2. Millennials are hesitant to identify themselves
with a political party
In U.S
50 % millennials said that they are independents
27 % confess to be democrats
17 % as republicans
Another Example
Their fully support in Barrack Obama when he was
first elected in the highest position but after that the support
has weakened to about 50%.

Millennials are less wealthy, the unemployed rate
of millennials is higher than it was for their parents at
the same age, and they have a higher student debt.

Millennials are reluctant to get married
millennials are likely to marry someone of the
different race. Based on the pew research center;
they still find their someone before they get involve in
marriage.

6. SECULARISM AND HUMANISM
Millennials are less openly religious than the older
generations. They are more likely to advocate secularism and
humanism.


worldview which does not acknowledge
supernatural or divine views of reality
it includes atheism , agnosticism, naturalism,
scientism, Darwinism, and other ideologies
that reject all spiritual explanations of the
world.
Humanism

A system of thought which gives emphasis to
the value of human beings and favors man’s
thought over faith or religious doctrine.
The word “humanist” is derived from the
olden Italian term umanista which pertains
to a teacher or scholar of classical Greek and
Latin literature.
Humanism refers to a belief in human-
based morality.
6.1 Human Experience as Moral Basis
Secular humanism explains that moral rules are
derived from human experience.
From experiential knowledge, a rule like this allegedly
emerged: “let no one do these things that we can live in peace
and realize the human good we need.” Secular humanist aver
that there is every reason people have come up with these
rules without having to be told by God that these are
legitimate moral laws.
6.2 Human Needs
Secular humanist admit that Ethics is conventional,
but it has a natural basis. Natual basis is not so called natural
law or in Scriptures instead, it is none less than human need
and human reason.
6.3 An Analysis of Secularism and Humanism
By removing God in the picture, secularism and
humanism, in effect, affirm that the rules of morality were just
fabricated by human nature as the basis of this fabrication. As
their proponents inevitably admit, morality is conventional
having human need, experience and reason as natural
foundation.

really morally good in secular humanism. At best, we can only
regard them as practical or beneficial.”
