CORRUPTION
A vice that has been normalized. When it’s your turn its termed as “connection “but when its
someone’s turn its corruption. Corruption is basically termed as the dishonest conducts carried out
by those in power. There are various types of corruption that include but not limited to; Supply and
Demand corruption, grand and petty corruption and Conventional and unconventional corruption
In the current world this practice tends to waste the tax payer’s money in they don’t enjoy any
services that they pay for. This is due to “poor systems “. What does this mean? Low political
transparency makes the citizen unaware of what their government is doing they can’t therefore hold
their government accountable for the underdevelopment in their area of residence.
Effects of corruption
Higher levels of beau racy .Elected representatives cannot make the important decisions rather they
are made by the state officials who do so for the sake of their own selfish interests .The other day
Ruto allowed investors to pass the standard 6 story floor apartments this will therefore lead to poor
urban planning .Looking at developed countries we can note that such decisions have huge impacts
on the drainage systems ,water and power supply etc. .This is what the woke man calls lack of
forward thinking .
Where is corruption seen
Those highlighted above are just a tip of the iceberg others include but not limited to market and
political monopolization, Low levels of democracy, Low economic freedom. This problem has made
many to suffer in the hands of those they call their leaders. Leading to higher levels of
unemployment in the country, those that are employed are not worth the job. A common phrase
has been initiated “kazi ni kujuana “
