PARTS OF THE BREATHING SYSTEM
Functions of the Parts of Human Breathing System
The Parts of the Respiratory System that are in charge of supplying
oxygen are the nose, nasal passages, trachea or windpipe, bronchial tubes
or bronchi, bronchioles and the alveoli or airsacs.
1. The air we breath goes through the nose and nasal passages.
2. The air moves down through the Trachea. It is the empty tube that serves
as passageway of air to the lungs.
3. The Bronchi are the two branching tubes that connect the trachea to the
lungs.
4. Bronchioles are the hairlike tubes that connect to the alveoli.
5. Alveoli are the airsacs that allow gas exchange in the lungs.
