Problems Encountered
Honestly speaking, I did not encounter any problems or any difficulties while working as an intern
student at Bulan Water District. I think one thing I can say is that the work should be related to our
course, but it's not a big deal for me because I know that the employees there are trying their best to
give us work that's related to our course. I'm actually grateful because there are four employees who
oriented us about the Bulan Water District. The administrative officer informed us about the history of
BWD as well as the services they offered. He even showed us their facility in Brgy. Lajong, Bulan,
Sorsogon, while the HRM officer also oriented us about the BWD and also about the employees that the
Bulan Water District have; the accountant also oriented us and gave us advice on the course that we are
taking; and Ma'am Loren also oriented us on her assigned job and taught us how to make BIR forms,
disbursement vouchers, check printing, and many more.
In short, there's really no problem at Bulan Water District, so we highly recommend it to the school for
intern students.
Lesson Learned
Being an intern student at Bulan Water District is indeed a great privilege. The day we started to work at
their office already taught me a lesson. I learned a lot from them, the employees of BWD. I learned to
accept the reality of being an employed person. BWD taught me to be humble at all times and that
whatever your course is, you need to accept whatever job has been assigned to you because that's the
real world you are living today.
They also taught me to give respect, especially to the elders, whether you're just a job order or you are
the manager. We should always show respect. And in everything you do, when you need to leave early
or you need to go outside the office, you must always ask for permission because that's a sign of respect
too.
It also taught me that money is important, but having an optimistic and comfortable environment will
make you much happier than receiving a huge amount of money from a company that causes you a lot
of stress and disturbs your peace of mind.
Being an intern student gives me the opportunity to learn and fully prepare myself for the future
working version of myself.
