Unit 9

What did you do before online movies/text messaging/social networking?
In the past, I use to play soccer or basketball, actuality I played all time after the school and
when I finished the homework. The principal reason is because I lived in front to the park.

In ten years, what things might people be able to do with a cell phone?
Is possible that in the future there will be cell phone with holograms and we will be able to see
all applications in 3D, it will be amazing and terrific for people.

What are your positive personality traits? What are your negative personality traits?
I think that my personality is relax, all the time I try to stay happy and depend what am I doing,
for example when I´m doing homework I like to be organized and responsible. When I repair
something, I try to be hardworking and efficient.
When I don´t know something and I feel impatient and angry, I feel angry specially and
disappointed when I can´t do some homework or some work. These are my negative personality
traits.

Would you like to be a journalist/ flight attendant/ diplomat/lawyer/veterinarian? Why
or Why not?
I think I would be a good flight attendant because I like traveling around the world.
I could never be a lawyer because I don’t like solving problems of others and I´m impatient.

What´s your favorite book/movie/painting/song? Who is it by?
My favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban this movie was produced by
warner bros and was directed by Joanne Rowling who is a writer and she wrote this story and
all the books of the franchise of Harry Potter.

Tell me about a country you know well.
I can talk about Mexico because someday I hope to travel to this country so I´ve been searching
information about cities, food and landmarks for example they have spicy food, burritos, tacos,
quesadillas and many dishes with meats. Mexico have many amazing cities like Acapulco,
Tequila in Jalisco, Cancun. They have terrific places especially on the coast.

What have you been doing lately/in the evening/on weekends? How long have you
been?
Well lately I´ve been studying English at CEC and I´ve been trying to contact the director of my
thesis because I need to do my thesis in a laboratory of EPN but happened the pandemic and
I´ve been waiting an answer from my director.

Have you been working/studying/exercising? How long have you been?
Yes, I have been studying. Lately, I´ve been studying English at CEC for two months and I´ve been
doing my thesis since I finished my studies.

What is the last movie you´ve seen? What did you like/dislike about it?
The last movie that I saw was the dirt which is a movie about the biography of a rock band called
Motley Crue. I liked this movie for the story because is funny and interesting also this movie tells
the memories with the alcohol and drugs of each member. I didn´t like because I think that it is
only for adults and it has inappropriate scenes and I can´t see with my family.

What kinds of movies are you interested in?
I´m interested in comedy, biography and fantasy movies however sometimes I like to see
romantic movies but only when I´m with my girlfriend.

What rules might you find on an airplane/at school/in a museum/at work?
In an airplane you can find obligation for example:

You don´t have to reclined your seat.
You´ve got to kept your phone on silent.
You have to put your bag over your seat.


It could mean you can´t drive over 30 km/h because is near a school or a hospital and you have
to driven slowly for this area.

What would you do if a friend borrowed money and never paid you back?
I would try to call him, and asked for the money, and if that doesn’t work, I would go to his home
and talk to him.

Where would you go on vacation if you had enough time and money?
I would travel to Mexico because I thing that this country is beautiful and amazing, also I would
visit to my parents in Spain, they are living in Madrid it will be fantastic.

What request might a doctor/neighbor/parent/teacher make?

The doctor said to help in these days because are dangerous for the covid.
The teacher told us to study for the last exam.
The teacher asked us to do the bank question until Wednesday.
My neighbor told me not to have a party that weekend.

What has someone asked you to do/not to do recently? How did you respond?
Recently my sister told me that she needed money and she asked for a lend. I said yes, but I will
lend her next weekend
