There is a psychoactive ingredient in marijuana known as the THC and it has a synthetic
version known as K2/Spice sprayed with synthetic chemicals. They are highly dangerous if
consumed and can be fatal leading to death. They are usually labeled as “not for consumption”,
however there are people who consume the same just like cannabis. These go by various namesBliss, Black Mamba, Blaze, Bombay Blue, Fake Weed, Legal Weed, Genie, Zohai, Red X,
Dawn Scooby Skunk, Snax and more. They are usually smoked using pipes and e-cigarettes. It
affects the body in highly dangerous and harmful ways as it can cause- hallucinations, sweat, and
fastened heartbeat, nausea, convulsions and organ damage. Spice is the synthetic form usually
and commonly consumed in drinks and edibles. This drug in its synthetic form is majorly
manufactured in Asian countries without any regulation, supervision or standards. Into the US,
they enter through the process of smuggling.
Hallucinogens are a diverse group of drugs which cause hallucinations and make feel
sense and feel things which are not real. They weaken the logical reasoning, thinking capacity
and awareness levels of the person. Some are organic hallucinogens and some are made
synthetically using chemicals. Common hallucinogens used are- LSD, Peyote, DMD, Molly,
MDMA, and more. These are consumed by snorting, injecting, smoking, mixing in edibles and
drinks, swallowing orally as pills and tablets.
These synthetic drugs interfere with the normal working of various chemicals in our
body. They disrupt the working of a major brain chemical named serotonin, which cause an
imbalance in the communication system of the central nervous system. The short term impacts of
these synthetic drugs are- nausea, increased heartbeat, change of sense of time, and more.
However the more dangerous are the long term impacts which include- loss of appetite, sleep
problems, paranoia, heart problems, psychosis, mood disorders, and negative impact on personal
and social relationships. They also cause tumors, strokes, memory loss, amnesia, breathing
problems and more.
