• A state, NOT an action
• NOT usually used in the continuous tense
• Common verbs (perception / opinion / senses):
– LIKE / DISLIKE / LOVE / HATE
– NEED / MATTER
– WANT / PREFER
– KNOW / REMEMBER / FORGET / UNDERSTAND
– BELIEVE / THINK / REALIZE
– BELONG / OWN / HAVE
– COST / SPEND
– SEE / HEAR / SOUND / SEEM
– AGREE / MEAN
– BE / APPEAR
