School - It's
Easier to Digest
Hot Foods
It has been noted that hot food is simpler to digest. Why? The
digestive system is sensitive to various temperatures, as has
been revealed by researchers interested in accelerating food
breakdown. Because it doesn't have to work as hard to digest the
food, the human digestive system functions better with warmer
foods and liquids.
Consuming cold food causes the gut to work extra hard to break
down the nutrients. This may result in bloating or sensitive
digestion. However, nutrients are already partially broken down in
heated meals. Before food enters the body, healthful compounds
and nutrients are broken down by steaming, boiling, baking, or
roasting food. Additionally, people typically consume hot foods
more slowly, which is good for the digestive system. There is
more time for nutrients to be absorbed when food enters the
system gradually.
Warm Food Tastes
Better
According to several studies, food genuinely tastes better when it
is warm. Studies suggest a taste receptor that detects sweet and
bitter flavors is the cause of this. This receptor frequently
communicates with the brain more strongly when the food is
heated. Despite the research, hot food can occasionally satisfy
hunger that cold food cannot.
Hot foods contain more nutrition.

Since consuming
promotes a smoother digestion process, the nutrients in hot food
are more readily absorbed. The body can get more nutrients as a
result. Nevertheless, certain prepared foods are more nutrientdense than their raw counterparts. For instance, tomatoes that
have been cooked contain more of the antioxidant lycopene.
Cancer and heart attacks can both be
reduced with the use of lycopene. The cell walls of plants are
frequently destroyed during cooking, releasing the nutrients
trapped inside and facilitating absorption by the body.
