To secure your place on the course, a non-refundable deposit of 600 USD * must now be paid. This payment should normally
be made within 7 days of receiving this acceptance letter. The balance of 1,000 USD is due 1 month before the course starts.

*Although USD is the currency that the course price is tied to, it is possible for any applicant with a UK bank account to pay in
Sterling and for anyone in Thailand to pay in Thai Baht for the convenience of avoiding international bank transfers. However,
please note, once a quotation in Thai Baht or British Pounds is given, the deposit must be made within 5 days. After 5 days please
ask for a new quotation from reception. Most importantly, once the deposit is made, the final balance must be paid in the same
currency as the deposit, and the final balance will be the originally quoted amount. If you feel this may cause an issue due to
currency fluctuations, we recommend paying in dollars.
To ensure that we are aware of your payment, you must scan a copy of the SWIFT (Society World-wide Inter-bank Financial
Telecommunications) receipt once you have transferred your fees. Please mark the scan for the attention of CELTA/Teacher
Training. You should also ensure you retain a copy of the transfer details.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ
With all payments please ensure that when making a bank transfer on this occasion you have ticked the box on the remittance slip
which states that the amount deposited will be ‘after charges’. The amount that needs to be actually deposited in the IH Bangkok
bank account must be as per the figure stated above. Any shortfall, due to bank charges being deducted at this end will be added
to the balance due (where applicable).
Finally, on this matter, please make sure that the bank you use to make the transfer has a direct relationship with our bank,
Bangkok bank -Thailand’s biggest bank. Otherwise, occasionally, some small banks go through an intermediary bank, which will
of course charge for its service, meaning fewer funds are actually transferred to us.

BEFORE MAKING ANY PAYMENT, PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE READ THE CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE BELOW.
Acceptance of a place on the course is deemed to be confirmed once a payment is made. By making such a payment
and thus accepting the offer of a place, it is understood that you have read, agreed with, and accepted the conditions of
acceptance as laid out below.
Conditions of Acceptance
I understand that completing the pre-course task that I have been sent along with this acceptance will considerably
improve my chances of success on the course; conversely, I understand that failure to do the task may have an adverse
effect on my ability to complete the course successfully.
I understand that if I decide to withdraw from the course at any time for any reason, the course fees will not be
reimbursed to me.
I understand that if I am unable to complete the course for any reason, the course fees will not be reimbursed to me.
I understand that it is possible to receive a “fail” result on the CELTA course, that the result can not be changed, and
that course fees will not be reimbursed for reasons related to my grade.
I understand that reasons for receiving a ‘fail’ result can include a lack of language awareness or competence in either
written or spoken English which would, in the tutors’ professional opinion, lead to an inability to pass the written
assignments and/or Teaching Practice (TP) components of the course.
I understand that I may be asked to withdraw from the course, without reimbursement, should any of my actions
contravene the professional standards as deemed appropriate by IH Bangkok. Such actions would include plagiarism
or violent/disruptive behaviour.
I am aware that the course is extremely demanding and that a considerable amount of work will be required of me
outside of the regularly scheduled contact hours.
I confirm that all information I have stated about myself in the application and interview process is true and that the
tasks that were completed in the process were entirely my own work and thus provide a true representation of my
proficiency in written English. I also confirm that I have disclosed any information about my health and personal
situation that might hinder my ability to complete the course requirements.
