Review
Let pupils answer the statement by using "Yes" if they agree or "No" if they disagree with the
statement.

Let the pupils watch the video about the “COVID-19 vaccines, how will they work”.
Let’s talk about the following sets.

 I believe that COVID-19 vaccines will strengthen our immune system.
 Some people say that COVD-19 vaccines aren’t safe because they were developed
quickly.

Safe, effective COVID-29 vaccines will offer protection against virus.
Like other vaccines, such as the flu shot, COVID-19 vaccines will be given with a
needle.

Say:
A fact is an event or situation known to have happened. It came from the
Latin word factum meaning something done. It also means that it has existed and
the truth was verified by observation, experience, or experiment.
An opinion is a judgment or estimation of what seems to be true. It comes
from the Latin word opinion which means to believe. An opinion is not founded on
certainty of proof and it varies from person to person. Sometimes it is influenced by
popular feeling.
However, when you state a fact or an opinion, you have to support such claim
with evidence which may include observations, experiences, or conclusions based on
experiment or studies

Directions: Read the paragraph carefully. Identify the statement below if it is a fact or an

On March 22, 2022, the Department of Education School Division of Cabanatuan City
issued a division memorandum regarding the suspension of classes on March 25,
2022. The announcement is due to city-wide power interruption from 7:00 am to 7:00
pm. The students are sad because there will be no classes on that day. To avoid warm
weather, they went to the mall but there was a student who entered the school on
March 25, 2022 because he did not read his teacher’s message and he believed his
brother’s baseless announcement. His brother just wanted to make fun of him.
