WORK METHOD & RISK ASSESSMENT STATEMENT

UNIT NO.:
SHOP 07
LOCATION: THE COURT, JUMERIAH
OBJECTIVE:
To complete shop fit-out according to approved drawings
and specifications.
PERIOD OF CONSTRUCTION:
60 working days upon work permit issuance
NUMBER OF SITE WORKERS:
10 (Ten) with flexible daily schedule
WELFARE & FIRST AID:
Welfare facilities will be available on site. Trained FirstAider and first aid box will be provided.
SITE EQUIPMENTS:
Hand Tools, Electrical Power Tools, Ladders and Platforms
WORK METHOD:
1. The approved drawings will be collected and studied in
detail prior to works being carried out.
2. Any existing electrical services, plumbing and drainage
will be inspected. Screeding and Waterproofing works
will be carried out on specified areas. Installation of
ceramic tiles will follow accordingly.
3. Plumbing works will be carried out including waterline
and drainage line as per approved layout.
4. Ducting installation will be done for existing FCU
including supply and return grills, thermostat etc. as
required. AC works will be done for the additional AC
unit.

5. Metal sheets with metal tubes will be installed for
ceiling area; Ceiling will be painted as per approved
colour finish – Gray, including existing ducts and pipes.
6. If power and light circuits ware to be installed, all work
will be done by qualified personnel.
7. Wall cladding will be installed as to the drawings
supplied.
8. Joinery works will be completed in accordance with the
supplied drawings and to the required specifications.
9. Wall and ceiling area will be painted, all materials to be
used will be assess as to hazardous content, if any.
Suitable ventilation will be necessary during painting
works.
10. Any power/data points will be connected and checked
by qualified personnel.
11. Site Cleaning will be observed at all times. Waste will
be removed and continual checks will be carried out to
ensure that there are no trip hazards or the like.
12. Necessary testing and commissioning will be carried
out. All snag works will be completed, if any, prior to
site handover.
REDUCING RISK:
The following will be implemented as site mandatory:
1. Site workers will be issued with PPE to the relevant
standards
2. All work at height/ceiling shall be performed using
stable ladders/platforms.
3. All electrical work by trained and experienced
electricians.
4. All manual handling loads to be assessed prior to lifting
5. Power tools to have proprietary guards fitted.
6. All work to be under suitable management and
supervision at all times.
7. Noise and dust to be kept to a minimum

Strict Adherence to this statement is critical to health and safety of all engaged in the site
works. Any deviation must first be authorized by site-in-charge.
