THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH
THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH
The Church Exists to Spread a Desire for God’s
Glory
 It is the duty of the Church to point people to the true
and the living God so that their worship becomes
acceptable to Him. And this worship can only be
acceptable if it comes from the sincerity of the soul
and if it regulated by Scripture. Other traditions
outside the Bible is not acceptable as worship before
God.

The Church Exists to Proclaim the Gospel of Christ
 It is the Church’s mission to proclaim the Gospel of
Christ. The fundamental elements of the Gospel are
a) the Death of Christ which signifies that He paid for
our sins at the cross to save us from this present evil
world (Galatians 1:4); and b) the Resurrection of
Christ which signifies that the payment for sin has
been accepted by God. The Gospel must be preached
so that people may know that there is salvation in
Christ alone through faith in Him.

CONFESSION THROUGH PRAYER
1 Blessed
is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin
is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord
imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no
guile. 3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through
my roaring all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand
was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the
drought of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledged my sin unto
thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess
my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the
iniquity of my sin. Selah.
