EAE Application Process
1.Application – Students who are keen can submit
their applications in May 2022 at www.ite.edu.sg
2.Selection – Shortlisted applicants will have to
undergo interviews and/or aptitude tests.
3.Offer & Acceptance – Conditional offers will be
given to successful applicants. Applicants who
accept the offer within a specified period will get
a place in ITE as long as they meet the minimum
entry requirements (MERs) of the course.

All successful applicants will go through a 10-week preparatory course starting in January 2022. Upon completion
of this course, students will join ITE’s April 2022 intake for the Higher Nitec course they are enrolled in.

* DPP students who successfully complete the Higher Nitec courses and attain the required minimum qualifying Higher Nitec Grade Point
Average (GPA) scores are guaranteed a place in the 1st Year relevant Polytechnic Diploma courses that are mapped to their Higher Nitec
courses. Students who meet the minimum qualifying GPA for 2nd Year entry are not guaranteed admission into Year 2 of one of the mapped
courses. Admission is based on merit, subject to vacancies in the courses.
# For Higher Nitec courses in Applied Sciences, Engineering or Info-Communications Technology, in addition to the qualifying GPAs, students
are required to take up and pass a Mathematics elective at ITE to be eligible for articulation into Polytechnic courses under DPP. GCE ‘N’

Technical Diploma at ITE! ITE offers three full-time Technical
Diplomas to Nitec and Higher Nitec graduates. These
internationally-recognised Diplomas are offered in collaboration
with renowned institutions in Germany and France!
Technical Diploma in Culinary Arts
Master the necessary skills and expertise to set up and operate a restaurant,
manage its culinary operations, dinner events, purchasing, sales and F&B
budget. Conduct R&D to introduce new menus and concepts for a French
restaurant set-up. Graduates of the Diploma course will also have an
opportunity to study for a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in International Hotel and
Restaurant Management at Institut Paul Bocuse.
Conducted by ITE in partnership with world-renowned French culinary and
hospitality institution, Institut Paul Bocuse.
The ITE Technical Diploma in Culinary Skills is a challenging
yet enriching course. It provides me with invaluable skills and
knowledge in running a fast-paced kitchen and helps me in
my career aspirations. Starting from a Junior Sous Chef at Les
Amis, I am now a full-time Sous Chef at El Fuego with 13 staff
working under me. I hope my training at ITE and experience in
culinary and restaurant management would help me open my
own restaurant in the future.

Pick up comprehensive skills and knowledge in
analysing and resolving complex technical problems
associated with motor vehicles, managing workshop
maintenance and repair services, rendering technical
advice and providing workshop services to motorists.
Graduates of the Technical Engineer Diploma (TED)
in Automotive Engineering course will be eligible to
apply for admission to the related NUS Bachelor of
Technology Programmes [subject to meeting specific
entry requirements] and relevant Universities of
Applied Sciences in Germany.
Offered in collaboration with the Ministry of Education,
Youth and Sports (MEYS), Baden-Württemberg,
Germany and conducted by ITE in partnership with

Technical Engineer Diploma in
Machine Technology
Get equipped with a wide-range of skills and
knowledge in the area of machine equipment
design and building, including making, assembling,
testing and commissioning in the field of Precision
Engineering. Graduates of the TED in Machine
Technology course will be eligible to apply for
admission to the related NUS Bachelor of Technology
Programmes [subject to meeting specific entry
requirements] and the Universities of Applied Sciences
in Germany.

ITE will introduce a new 3-year Higher Nitec full-time programme from Academic Year 2022.
Streamlining the current Nitec and Higher Nitec curricula, this new option will allow students to attain
a Higher Nitec qualification directly, in only three years instead of the current four years.
Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) students can apply for this new 3-year Higher Nitec
programme using the existing Nitec entry requirements.
O-Level and Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) Normal (Academic) students will
join the programme directly in the second year and will continue to attain their Higher Nitec in 2 years.
ITE will adopt a phased implementation approach beginning with eight Higher Nitec courses in
Academic Year (AY) 2022.

The new 3-year Higher Nitec courses are open to graduating students with GCE ‘N’ Level and GCE ‘O’
Level qualifications. Students may apply for admission to the eight courses under the first phase of
implementation through the Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) in May 2022, or the Joint Intake Exercise
(JIE) in December 2021. These students will automatically be enrolled into the three-year curricular
pathway leading to a Higher Nitec qualification.
