The Certificate in Teacher Training is suited to experienced and qualified
TEFL/TESOL teachers who plan to move into the field of teacher training and

classrooms under the supervision of an experienced mentor. Just as
professionals in medicine, architecture, and law have opportunities to learn
through examining case studies, learning best practices, and participating in
internships, exemplary teacher-preparation programs allow teacher
candidates the time to apply their learning of theory in the context of teaching
in a real classroom.
Many colleges and universities are revamping their education schools to

Quality Assurance for Learning Providers
What is QALP?
QALP is a quality management system standard for ESOL providers. QALP
provides a unified model for a quality and professional mode of operation in
English Language schools based on WCL framework of reference. WCL
levels are equivalent to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).
Why is it important?
The use of the QALP provides teachers with the following advantages:
• 1. Access to a meaningful and useful point of reference that is
understood globally and that informs their decisions on measuring
language knowledge and skills.
• 2. A detailed description of learning, teaching, and assessing
languages, how learners compare to a set of competencies, and how
they carry out communicative tasks.
• 3. Teachers and learners move toward specific levels and specific goals
of those levels.
• 4. Teachers may want to select teaching materials (course books and
resources) that are referenced to the CEFR.
• 5. CEFR levels provide an indication of performance and ability to
function in communicative contexts in a foreign language.
• 6. There are no requirements in the CEFR; it is a framework of
reference. It is up to the teacher and learner to plot a course for
language development. The CEFR does not tell them what to do or how
to do it.
Our services for English Language Providers
1. Training staff how to hold placement tests (a complete package for

What is OET?
The Occupational English Test is the English language test for healthcare
professionals. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare
professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking
environment.
Why OET?
To work as a healthcare professional in an English-speaking country, the first
step you must overcome is gaining registration for work. If you are a non-native
English speaker, this will mean proving you have a high level of English. There
are a number of different tests available which you can take to provide proof of
your English proficiency. Only one test is healthcare specific: OET.
How OET works?
OET is the English test for healthcare professionals. As such it tests your English
by providing you with texts, audios, writing and speaking scenarios which are
familiar to you as a healthcare professional. Other tests might ask you to listen to
a recording about the invention of the light bulb or to write an essay to show your
support for a particular opinion. OET tests you on real-life healthcare contexts.
OET respects that you have already completed training in your healthcare
profession and have possibly been working in your profession for a number of
years. As a test, OET respects that you are attempting to gain registration as a
healthcare professional. The tasks which you complete in the test will be
beneficial to you in the workplace once you have achieved registration. Preparing
for OET will directly support you for work in an English-speaking healthcare
environment. No other test can do this.
How many types of OET are there?
OET has been developed specifically for 12 healthcare professions: Dentistry,
Dietetics, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy,
Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Radiography, Speech Pathology and Veterinary Science.
Find out how the Occupational English Test is based on typical
workplace scenarios in your profession.
