Study Plan For MS
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:
I am Shairyar Abid from Pakistan. I am student of B.Sc. Metallurgy and Materials
engineering from Bahauddin Zakriya University (B.Z.U Multan) a well-known University
in Pakistan. I choose this field because of involments of materials in development of new
technologies and Because these technologies have brought revolution in the world.I
have completed six semesters with CGPA 3.30 out of 4.00 and now I am in the final year.
I also done many interesting projects like
Mechanical Testing of Pure Copper (Tensile, Impact and Hardness).
Metallographic Investigation of cast iron and brass after annealing.
Metallographic Investigation of martensitic structure in Nickel Alloy Steel
Heat Treatment Study(oil, salt and water quenching) of plain carbon steel.
Mould Making And Casting of Aluminium.
Corrosion Study of Brass.
And now my final year project is on “Behaviour of Mg based Alloy in Hemolatic
Blood ”. This project develop my interest towards the material Engineering field and
safety engineering field and now i want to continue my study MS in one of these this
field.
EXPERIENCE:
I have done 1 month internship at PITMAM under PCSIR LABORATRIES lahore.During
one month internship worked in different labs and had practical experience of NDT
(DPT, MPT, UT, RT, ECT), hardness testing (Mohal hardness tester, Micro-vickers
hardness tester, Macro-vickers hardness tester, Knoop hardness tester, Rockwell
hardness tester, Brinnel hardness tester and Universal harness tester), Carbon/Sulphur
determinator, potentiostate, Metallography (cutting, mounting, polishing, etching and
metallographic examination) Thermal Spraying, Mechanical testing (tensile testing,
impact testing and fatigue testing)
MY PERSONALITY:
By fact, I am socially active person with friendly nature. Besides that, I always feel very
joyous and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different backgrounds and
cultures. As such meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial in
future also it makes things easy to cope whether one works or studies in his own
country or outside the country.
REASON TO STUDY IN CHINA:
I would like to apply for the Master’s Degree in material Engineering or safety
engineering in China because from my current experience, past internship and my final
year project I come to know the vast practical applications of the material Engineering
and importance of safety, this caught my attention and created a thirst of knowledge in
me to study my chosen course. My motto is to work in an international field related to
Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. Therefore, I would like to gain deeper theoretical
and practical knowledge in starting and managing most innovative projects.
Now the question arises, “Why China?” Reading the books, watching the news,
analyzing and observing the people of China, I am really impressed by the way these
individuals have proved themselves to be dedicated to their work and with true efforts
they have set China as a successful example for the world. The fast-growing economy,
technological advancement and the global ranking education institutes of China with
high reputation makes a great aspiration to the students and professionals for the better
career perspectives. Thus, such things positivity has boosted my confidence further and
I am highly satisfied with the decision I have taken. Moreover, China’s diverse cultural
norms and values, the famous gentle hospitality of its people and Pakistan-China all
weather friendly relations since past to promote bilateral trade, acceptance and peace
to both sides in great clarity make me feel China as my second homeland. All these
reasons put together make China an ideal place for me to do my Master’s degree.
