Due to the possibility of COVID-19 transmission through air droplets, the likelihood of exposure in severe and moderate cases is high to very high before the implementation of additional risk control measures. If no protective actions are taken, a person will almost certainly catch the disease, especially if the virus is not controlled or neglected. Negligible is considered to be low because COVID-19 spread at such a rapid pace that, if not controlled, it could affect everyone. The laboratory activities and procedures that are considered to pose a risk of exposure considered as very high-risk category if there is no risk control. It's a top priority because it can spread COVID-19 infection. After risk control management takes place, the residual risk is very low and the severity of the consequences is around low to medium, which is still not considered negligible because of the possibility of exposure and transmission of the virus. Overall, the control measure is very effective in reducing the risk of exposure and its consequences.
