Stimulation, induction of labor; missed or incomplete abortion; postpartum bleeding
PATIENT EDUCATION WHILE TAKING THIS MEDICATION
Teach patient to report increased blood loss, abdominal cramps, increased temp or foul-smelling
lochia, nausea, blurred vision, itching, swelling
Advise patient that contractions will be similar to menstrual cramps, gradually increasing in intensity
