1. Abstract
2. Introduction
One of the principal benefits associated with automatic barrier systems is the tried and tested
results they offer for security purposes. Where access to any area needs to be restricted to keep
people and infrastructure safe, an automatic barrier is an ideal product. Given that it forces any
person in a vehicle to stop before entering or exiting, security checks can be carried out in person
or remotely, via CCTV.
Two IR sensors are placed in both side of crossing when vehicle come from one side it will
interrupt the IR light, means sensor one is activated and arduino detect this changing and it will
open the gate by giving the signal to L293D motor driver and automatic spikes that come off on
a road when the traffic light turns green, discouraging more people from disobeying traffic rules.
But in next time when vehicle cross the second sensor arduino will detect this changing and close
the gate by using L293D motor driver and automatic spikes that come up on a road.
3. Project Objective
Advantage:
 Automatic vehicle gate control systems reduce the time for which gate remains closed.
 This type of gates can be employed in an unmanned level crossing where the chances of
accidents is higher and reliable operation is required.
 Automatic operation prevents errors due to manual operation.
 Lastly, no human resource is required. This makes its running cost very low compared to
manned gates.

5. Conclusion
Keeping your property safe requires you to limit and control the flow of traffic, and using an
automatic barrier gate will help you reach your goal. You will not need to worry about placing a
security guard at the entrance of your facility, and your staff will have more time to focus on
other responsibilities, helping you save time and money.
You can easily create and delete access codes, and you can use your gate to charge for parking
