party, he had several careers, and owned a huge
farm called Mount Vernon in Virginia.

George Washington lived during a time when disease was a major
concern and contributor to the deaths of humans, regardless of
age. George Washington was very lucky as he survived to become
President, or even command an army, because he caught Smallpox
in Barbados and nearly died from the disease which left him
permanently scarred.
