Game Instructions
Use this simple board game to help your beginner French students practice French greetings!
Materials Needed:
●
●
●
●
Dice (1 per group)
Game pieces (anything works!)
Game board, laminated or on card stock
Mini whiteboards (optional), or paper
How to play:
In pairs or small groups, students take turns rolling the die and moving around the board. When
they land on a yellow square, they write the words on mini whiteboards (or paper) and fill in the blanks.
When they land on a blue square, they say the words and fill in the blanks. Landing on an arrow moves
the player forward or back the indicated number of spaces. The first player to land on the “X” wins!
Game variations:
●
●
●
When a player lands on a square, they will use the words to engage in dialogue with their partners
When a player lands on a square, they TRANSLATE the words into English
ANY variation that works for you and your students’ needs!
