Therapeutic Interventions Provided
Staff welcomed clients upon arrival. Staff went over program rules and what was expected for
the day. Staff got clients to participate and raise their hands to confirm and acknowledge and
agree with said rules. Clients were eager to learn new feeling words to add to their vocabulary
when writing in their journals. Clients looked up and defined new words and put them into
complete sentences. Clients practiced reading aloud to sharpen public speaking skills.
Response to Intervention/Progress toward Goals/Objectives:
Clients were very respectful to staff and peers. Clients were eager to participate and show what
they learned by showing one another and staff their neatly handwritten journaling assignment.
Clients enjoyed having their own individual journals and added creative art to make their
journals unique. Clients were rewarded for completing their assignments in a timely manner,
following staff instruction for the project and for their creativity.
