• Farming is not just a job, it’s a way of living, for more than 42% of Indians who
are directly or indirectly employed in Agricultural Sector.
• To provide information about different types of crops, seeds, fertilizers,
equipments, etc. to farmers we are making a website named “kisankendar".
• It will help them as it is in their local languages.
• We will gather relevant information about crops, seeds, fertilizers, etc. from
government websites and scientific research papers.
• Then we will interpret gathered information in suitable form.
• After that we will present that information on our website.
•2 We will update & upgrade it time-to-time using APIs.
Frontend - React.js.
Backend - Express.js
Database –
Google firestore.
Hosted on Google
Firebase.
Developed on Ubuntu
and Windows.
Can be Deployed on
other cloud services like
AWS and Microsoft
Azure.
Most of the technology used in this project is open source and widely used in industry.
• Main problem for farmers is they don’t know where to find relevant information about crops.
• So we developed one stop for information on crops, seeds, fertilizers, equipments, tools, etc. for
farmers.
• They also get other information like weather forecast, prices in market, government schemes, latest
news etc.
• Farmers will be directed to the best sites where they can buy seeds, fertilizers, equipments, tools, etc.
at best price.
• Deployed on cloud server, so initial cost is minimal and scalable as user traffic increases.
• Government and scientific websites for information about crops, fertilizers, news, schemes,
equipments, etc.
• Using APIs to get weather data.
