BIOLOGICAL
• The biological perspective is a way of looking at psychological issues by
studying the physical basis for animal and human behavior. The basic cause
of sally's problems based on the perspective is that she showed symptoms of
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. According to this perspective if she
does not receive help for her hyperactivity disorder her accusive need for
attention and disruptive behavior will get worse. To improve her life sally can
take medication that can aid her disorder.
PSYCHODYNAMIC
• The psychodynamic perspective
emphasizes unconscious psychological
processes (for example, wishes and fears
of which we're not fully aware), and
contends that childhood experiences are
crucial in shaping adult personality. The
basic cause of sally's problems according
to the passage is that when she was
growing up she did not receive enough
attention. According to this perspective
lifw sally does get help she will not be able
to understand her true, deep-rooted
feelings in order to resolve them. She can
improve her life by trying to distinguish
information about her past that she might
not be aware is causing her to act the
way she does.
BEHAVIORAL
• The behavioral perspective is all
about acting throughout life as a
result of some form of motivation or
incentive. According to the
perspective the basic cause of sally’s
problems is she is acting out. She is
behaving in an unruly manner in
response to a lack of attention from
her parents and her parents divorce.
According to this approach if sally
does not get help she will be unable
to be obsvered to see what stimuli is
causing her to behave the way she
does. In order to get a better life sally
should observe her behaviors and
what they respond negatively to, in
order to solve them.
HUMANISTIC
• Humanistic psychology is a perspective
that emphasizes looking at the whole
individual and stresses concepts such as free
will, self-efficacy, and self-actualization. The
cause of sally's problems according to the
perspective is that due to her parents divorce
and lack of attention she has obtained too
much free will that she believes she can act
as she likes. According to this perspective if
she does not receive help she will not be able
to understand her individual choices and
responsibilities. In order to improve her life sally
should know her worth and instill her values.
COGNITIVE
• The cognitive approach in psychology is
a relatively modern approach to human
behavior that focuses on how we think. The
cause of sally's problems according to the
perspective is that she thinks that her parents
did not favor her and that her dad did not have
time for her. If sally does not get help she will
not be able to improve her decision making. To
better her life sally should Maintain full
engagement and be focused on what she does
and thinks, she must also remember the
benefits she will gain from the task.
