At the younger age, because this world is rapidly changing as it also forces the
people to adapt to its changes, so the earlier children learn to use technology it
will allow them to cope with all the technological problems they might face. The
introduction of the media literacy will teach children to think for themselves and
critically about the problems they might encounter. And also it will teach them
to become smart consumers of products and information, help them to
differentiate between facts and opinions, help them create media responsibly
and be able to recognize the role of media in their own society and culture.
3. WHAT ROLE SHOULD PARENTS AND TEACHERS PLAY TO
PROMOTE OR MONITOR USE OF TECHNOLOGY BY
CHILDREN?
 Parents should check or monitor web-sites their children are visiting by
going to the web history and they also should use the parental tools to monitor
or block other online contents
 Teachers in schools should not allow the use of cellphones and other
digital equipments during their teaching time.
 Parents should also take responsibility and make schedules between
the use of technological gadgets and study time for their children at home.
 Parents should guide and advice children on the decisions they have
to make regarding the media.
