Explication:
The writer sets the scene in the exposition in Lady Macbeth’s
house which is the setting of the later actions. Soon after, Macduff,
an emotional, brave, and loyal hero rushes and cries “Our royal
master’s murdered!” (II.iii.86). Macbeth has murdered Duncan and
the people are yet to know; therefore, the plot here is man versus
man physical conflict. Lady Macbeth is shocked and starts asking
questions which reinforces the reason/mental instability theme.
