Observations about Sharing the Gospel in your Neighborhood

Observations about Sharing the Gospel in your Neighborhood

In John chapter 3, Nicodemus, a Pharisee, came to Jesus by night. Jesus told Nicodemus that he
would not see the Kingdom of God unless he was born again. He went on to say that he would
need to be born again of the Spirit.

How many people do you imagine live within a few blocks from your house that are not born
again of the spirit? Over 2,000 years and this truth is still relevant today, “you must be born
again.”

Jesus went on to say in verse 14-15 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even
so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
eternal life.”

2 Cor. 5:21 says, ”For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him.”

Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.”

Imagine just by calling on the name of the Lord and just by looking to Jesus we can be saved.
We can be born again and made righteous before God.

We have been given the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor 5:17-19 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now
all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the
ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not
imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

Sharing Jesus to a neighbor or friend is really fairly simple all you do is tell them that you have
some good news to share with them

The good news is: “Heaven is a free gift.”
You see Heaven is a gift from God to us.
Rom 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our
Lord.”
Eph 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the
gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. The wages of sin is removed when you
receive Jesus by believing on Him.

His gift to us is received by faith. You see Gifts are made to be freely received.

Ask you friend or neighbor if this makes sense to them?

If the indicate yes then ask them if they would like to receive the gift of eternal life.

Simply lead them in a prayer to receive Jesus.

I hope this makes sense to you and that you will look for opportunities to be a reconciler of men
to God. 2 Cor 5:19
