Comprehensively discuss your answers on the box provided from the questions posed.
1. As a future teacher, how are you going to handle learners with special educational
needs in your classroom after learning this lesson, specifically the RA 7277?
-
Provide alternative methods of assessment for students with disabilities; the second is
to arrange a learning environment that is as normal or as “least restrictive” as possible;
and the third is to participate in creating individual educational plans for students with
disabilities.
2. Bullying is most common among children specifically to school-age. Mostly,
disabled persons are susceptible to this instance. What steps and how would you
manage your class when you discover that one of your learners has been found
guilty of discrimination against disabled persons?
-
To avoid and manage my class with regards the situation given I will establish general
concepts about students with and without disabilities through class discussions. Address
student-specific issues that are important for the class to know about in order to
interact and learn alongside each other. Provide an opportunity for students to become
more understanding of people with disabilities by giving disability awareness lessons.
Establish and maintain a positive classroom community throughout the entire school
year. Encourage respect for one another, the use of appropriate language, and proactive social skills
