III. Materials: grow lights; radish seeds; small metal trays; soil; unbleached paper towels; water
IV. Procedure
A. Experimental Group Set up:
1. Crumple up three small pieces of paper towels in the bottom of a small pie pan
2. Trim another paper towel the shape of the pan to lay flat over the crumpled paper towels.
3. Place 8 radish seeds on the top of the paper towel. Make sure they are spaced out.
4. Use a water dropper and soak the paper towels and seeds.
B. Control Group Set up:
1. Fill pie tin with moist potting soil 1 cm below the top edge of the pan
2. Poke 8 small, evenly spaced 1 cm deep holes in the soil.
3. Drop one seed in each hole and cover it up with soil
4. Use a water dropper to soak in the seeds. It should be wet but not drippy.
V. Observations: Make a colored and labeled sketch and at least 2 written observations.
