ACCORDING TO PURPOSE
• INFORMATIVE SPEECH
• ENTERTAINMENT SPEECH
• PERSUASIVE SPEECH
INFORMATIVE SPEECH
• this
speech
provides
interesting
and useful information to the audience. As the
declaration "informative" implies, an informative
speech "let somebody know" those in audience by
presenting them reliable information on any subject
matter. Therefore, the speaker is a trainer, and his or
her point is to inform the audience regarding a
topic. The topics may be an object, an event, an
idea,
or
a
course.
a. Speeches About Objects
• are about things that are tangible and recognized
through sight, hearing, taste, or touch. Speeches about
objects include those about people, places, animals,
structures, etc.

ENTERTAINMENT SPEECH
• Its sole purpose is to have the audience enjoy
the presentation. It is not to educate, inspire or
inform
but
it
is
to
make
the
audience smile, relax, enjoy and maybe even
laugh
their
heads
off.
>Tell jokes, funny stories, scary stories and
dramatize
an
anecdote.

ways such as: the way they think, the way they
do something, or to start doing something that
they are not usually doing.
