Boring Sentences Group Challenge
Expand on the boring sentence, provided, and use one or more linguistic features to do so.
Try to be original in your use of feature. For example:
I opened the small metal door of the 1950s sports car.

the difference:
Standing closer, my heart pounded at 10,000 rpm as I leaned in. My fingertips connected with the
cool metal of the door, sending a slither of a shiver to the base of my spine. I held my breath. Clunk,
went the handle and the whole car seemed to depressurise, along with my lungs, as the rubber seals
disconnected from its sleek body. Brushing passed my cheek, 1950s air plumed like a cloud of cheap
tobacco smoke; the door was open. This…is a time machine.
We walked on autumnal leaves.
I opened the big, old door of the house.
It really hurt his feelings and he cried.
