other and with the faculty in an online learning system. Learning will

of this course will be a closed cycle.

MS INT 601 AB Syllabus
Program Outcomes
The INT course work encompasses areas of focus from three different, but integrated programs:
Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT), Master of Science Computer Science
(MSCS), and Master of Science Engineering Management (MSEM). This course provides the
students a holistic perspective across various domains, business sectors, and technical strata to help
inform integrated analytical decision-making.
Additionally, within the referenced syllabi for each course is a list of Course Learning Objectives
(CLOs). In this list those objectives are categorized by the competency (knowledge, skill or
attitude) which is to be achieved by students as a result of completing the course requirements.
Program outcomes to be acquired by students
1. Create strategic plans that implement software requirements and specifications of complex
information systems.
2. Evaluate computer systems and technology needs to improve the overall efficiency and
effectiveness by incorporating value computing methodologies.
3. Analyze, design, develop, and maintain an information technology infrastructure and
implement strategic initiatives involving emerging technologies and available resources.
4. Evaluate the functions of System Engineering Management and design strategic plans to
help improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness via value chain based methodologies.
5. Create, innovate, design, and improve engineering management, software systems, security
and data needs, and technology aspects in an ethical and socially responsible way.
6. Apply system design best practices, application development and sustaining methodologies,
risk management and mitigation plans to build robust business solutions and address
customer needs.
7. Create and develop the ability to conduct in-depth research, independently or within the
enterprise in a broad range of information technology, software systems, and engineering
disciplines.

Learning outcomes are statements that describe significant and essential learning that learners have
achieved, and can reliably demonstrate at the end of the course. Learning outcomes identify what the
