Packing oranges, apples, bananas – 112, 84, 126 into as many boxes as possible. Greatest

Find the number of apples, etc per box – Divide each by 14 – 8, 6, 9
12, 20, 8 minutes – find the LCM by prime factoring then multiplying. 12 is 6 and 2, 20 is 10 and

How many squares with sides that are 4 inches long are needed to cover a square with a side
length of 28 inches without overlapping?
4 x 4 = 16 square inch area
28 x 28 = 784 square inch area
784 divided by 16 = 49 squares with sides 4 inches long are needed
A wooden crate is a cube with edge lengths of 14 inches. The crate contains tiny plastic cubes
with edge lengths of 2 inches. How many plastic cubes can fit inside the wooden crate?
14 cubed is 2,744
2 cubed is 8
2,744 divided by 8 is 343 tiny cubes
