A researcher with intention to synthesize MOF-5 doped nickel, they prepared a mixture of H2BDC (0.33
g), Ni(NO3)2·6H2O (1.78g) and DMF (45 mL) using a sonicator, then added the mixture to a Teflon-lined
steel autoclave and hydrothermally treated the it at 130 oC for 8 h. A green-compound was formed
and characterised by a number of methods. i) based on characterisation data give a description of the
compound formed ii) suggest a name for the compound formed, If necessary propose characterisation
methods to ascertain the compound formed. iii) Estimate the crystallite size from the peak with the
highest intensity.
