The Chinese Communist Party Economic Development
Introduction
The Communist party’s direct involvement in the shaping of the Chinese economy is
through the plenary sessions of the central committee that came up with China’s Five-Year Plans
under which both social and economic developments are included. Looking at the CCP’s
constitution, economic development is included in their strategic plan to make China an
economic powerhouse. The theme discussed in this paper is how the Chinese Communist Party
can make strides in developing the economy of China despite the decline of most of its initial
ideologies.
Going through the Chines Communist Party constitution, I am intrigued by the phrase
economic development. The phrase is accompanied by the party’s vow to develop even the
social aspect of Chinese culture, a promise that has been fulfilled, but not fully. Reasons for
choosing the Social and economic development ideology is because the Party can do much more
to fulfill their ideas. The inclusion of social and economic development in the Chinese Five-year
plan is a single step in a million. The economic development part of the doctrine had been

fulfilled while the social part remains unfulfilled. The strict adherence to the party’s ideologies is
a deterrence to economic development through trade.
Conclusion
Our ideologies on economic and social development are what keeps China unique from
other nations. The opening up of China to other countries through trade and investments to as a
way to spur economic development is advised since sticking to the ideologies, and political
theories could be bad for investments. The USA is also known for its democratic values, some of
which are disregarded to allow them to trade with other nations that are not democratic. Same
case should apply to China.
