Week 1 8/11-12/11
Introduction
3 To be able to understand how
OBJECTIVE:
recycled fitness is made.
Children will see a short PowerPoint
explaining how we will use recycled
materials to develop PE skills. Children will
learn what resources are needed for this
topic.
Week 2 15/11–19/11
Circuit
OBJECTIVE: To be able to create a circuit training
programme.
Children will create a dice using different materials.
They will then use this dice to make a PE circuit.
MATERIALS NEEDED: empty cube/cuboid (e.g.
tissue box), paper, glue, markers.
Recycled Fitness
Term 1B
Week 3 – Balance
OBJECTIVE: To be able to balance different
objects on the body.
Children will try a range of different
balancing positions whilst attempting to
keep objects in place.
MATERIALS NEEDED: School bag items such
as pencil cases and books.
Week 4 – Coordination
OBJECTIVE: To be able to show coordination
through body movements.
Children will try different styles athletic
jumping (e.g. long jump) using household
materials.
MATERIALS NEEDED: String/white tape and
plastic/paper cups.
Week 6 – Speed
Week 5 – Weights
OBJECTIVE: To be able to hold and move
different weights.
Children will complete different weightlifting
exercises using homemade weights.
MATERIALS NEEDED: water bottles, pencil cases,
pillows, plastic bags, beads, flour etc.
CHILDREN SHOULD NOT USE GYM WEIGHTS!
OBJECTIVE: To be able to grab a variety of
different items at speed.
Children will use their speed ability to find
different household objects in a scavenger
hunt style lesson.
MATERIALS WILL BE REVEALED IN LESSON!
