Topic: "The computer is the most important invention in the history of civilization"
Nowadays, people can not imagine their lives without electronic devices such as
computers, cellphones or any other gadgets that are used day by day. However, there
are both pros and cons if they bring more beneficial or harmful effects. That is why,
it is crucial to consider both sides.
Talking about the advantages of such invention as computer, it is necessary to
mention that the role that plays this technical device is essential in our modern life.
For instance, many people use laptops as a part of their work or studies which let
them do it in a distance or provides with a huge range of recourses.
What is more, communication between people living far away from each other is
faster and easier with the usage of computers. For example, the internet connection
can let you make a video call (e.g. Skype or FaceTime) with your relatives in order
to keep in touch with a family.
What about negative side of technical progress, people, especially children, spend
too much time in virtual life. All they want is to play computer games which make
them depended on it.
Moreover, teenagers become less sociable in real life because they get accustomed
to chatting online via social nets. That is why, they are not able to communicate
face-to-face in order to get new real friends.
To sum up, in my opinion, there are more advantages than disadvantages of
creating computers because technologies become more and more real and being a
modern person means to be able to use new inventions in a proper way which can
help you and may be make your life little bit easier.
