Due to the recent attack on our office computers, I have researched three antivirus and firewall packages from different companies. The packages will ensure that an attack does not happen again. The three packages I researched were Symantec Endpoint Protection
Cloud , Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security and Avast Business Antivirus .
The Avast Business Antivirus package comes with the following:

Smart Scan

CyberCapture which automatically add new malware to your virus database so that it is always up to date.

Antivirus that uses 4 protective shields that prevents anyone from sending and or receiving infected emails, downloading, accessing dangerous websites.

Avast package also comes with Firewall protection.

For 50 Devices using the Avast Business Antivirus package it would cost
$1,399.60 ($39.99 per device per year) and you save $349.90 total.
The Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security package includes the following:

Antivirus and antimalware

Two Way firewall that detects Intrusion

Data protection

Cloud console to control and monitor users in real time.

USB scanning

Device Control

Email notifications for when specific events occur.

Web and application control over users connected, and it automatically detects viruses, rootkits, malware, phishing, and advanced attacks.

1 year of Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security for 50 devices is $1,046.49 with taxes not included and you save $564.


The Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud package includes:

Everything that the Bitdefender package has except for protection against phishing

The price for 50 devices is $1,350 for 1 year.
After researching different antivirus and firewall packages , I have concluded that we should go with Bitdefender. It offers more security features, defends against phishing, uses on-demand monitoring and allows you to schedule reports. Another benefit of
Bitdefender, is having the user-aware feature which allows you to give people certain security policies on their computer depending on which department they are working in.
You can also restrict certain settings from being changed on their system. Another reason we should purchase Bitdefender to secure our company computers, is because it provides more security then the other packages. For one year, Bitdefender cost $1.046.99 for 50 devices while the other packages are more expensive and the packages are smaller.
The other antivirus packages are $320+ or more than Bitdefender and still do not provide all the security and benefits that Bitdefender would.
