3D Printing Work Environment Safety

1.

Keep your work place tidy.

2.

Do not operate the printer in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.

3.

Only people who are trained should operate the printer.

3D Printing Personal Safety

1.

Do not touch the nozzle and build plate during printing.

2.

Do not touch the nozzle after finishing printing.

3.

Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts.

4.

Do not operate the printer while you are tired or under the influence of medication that impairs your focus or movement.

5.

Do not put printed models in your mouth or use them for food storage.

Other 3D Printing Cautions

1.

Always watch the beginning (first several layers) of a print job to make sure it starts correctly.

2.

Do not leave the printer unattended for long while it is printing.

3.

Do not make any modifications to the printer.

4.

The distance between the nozzle and build plate should at least 50mm while loading and unloading filament. Lower the build plate as needed.

5.

Operate the printer in a well-ventilated environment.

6.

Never use the device to print food storage vessels

7.

Never use the device to make any electrical appliance.

Do not remove the printed models from the build plate with force. Use only approved tools. Ask a teacher to remove the print job if you are unable to do it easily.

9.

Never connect the device with network cable longer than 3m.
